Dr. Angela S. McNeil
Dr. Angela S. McNeil is a dedicated higher education professional, known for her unwavering commitment to the uplift of individuals and communities through education. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President of Access, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Arcadia University, Dr. McNeil has emerged as a transformative leader, shaping an inclusive environment where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
Dr. McNeil served as the Inaugural Guidance Counselor for the Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School (PAVCS), where she worked with middle and high school students. In this role, she played a pivotal part in developing processes and procedures that facilitated the academic and personal development of students and supporting the needs of parents as they support their children for post-secondary education. Dr. McNeil's commitment to the holistic growth of students was evident in her creation and facilitation of workshops on self-awareness, self-empowerment, and college readiness. These initiatives not only equipped students with essential life skills but also empowered them to navigate the complexities of personal and academic challenges.
Dr. Angela S. McNeil's impact extends far beyond her official titles. Her passion for education, coupled with her dedication to diversity and inclusion, has positioned her as a trailblazer in the field.
Danielle Marshall
Danielle Marshall is a self-published author and marketer living in Louisville, Kentucky. As a former student mentor and college application reviewer, she saw an opportunity to leverage her communications background to create a journal for students about college visits. She's visited nearly 45 college campuses and earned her bachelor's from Texas Christian University and master's from Syracuse University.
Danielle wanted to create a resource for all students, regardless of socioeconomic status, that would help students think critically about a specific, and important part of the college admissions process, the campus tour. The book encourages students to use all five senses on their campus visit, as well as, leverage their soft skills to determine which college is the best fit.
Danielle published a Spanish version of the book in 2020 and also began hosting workshops about what to expect before, during and after a college campus visit. In 2021, she launched Tour Genius, a note-taking app for college visits. Additionally, she works with organizations to create college-specific visit journals for special programming.
Dr. Ebonee Mayo-Mitchell
Dr. Ebonee Mayo-Mitchell is a published author of several scholarly journal and book chapters and the founder and CEO of College Prep 365 Consulting, Inc., an educational consulting firm designed to work with students and parents to help them navigate the college choice process and find the perfect fit. Dr. Mayo-Mitchell overall focus is on increasing enrollment numbers and helping students and parents make the right choice of institutions.
Dr. Mayo-Mitchell advocates for college choice specializing in connecting college choice theories to everyday practices. She is an expert on university admission processes, college readiness, college choice, and retention and persistence.. She serves as a liaison between minority serving institutions and the National Park Service to develop training and employment opportunities for students; identify positions and projects that benefit both internal and external partners.
Dr. Mayo-Mitchell is a presenter, mentor, and consultant and has participated extensively in college fairs both locally and nationally including the Congressional Black Caucus, Alfred Street HBCU Fair, and the Black College Expo. She sponsors the the Annual Scholarship Gala raising scholarship money for students.
